What if I decide I want to add another room to my design package?

If you purchase a package but then decide you want my advice to extend to another area of your home or another element in this space like an accent wall then please contact me by email at hello@rosestephan.com and I will send you a link to purchase the Add-On.

I specify colours from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams and BeautiTone paint. I am not as familiar with other paint brands so if you’d like me to consider a different one please advise in the Questionnaire. 

What paint brands do you specify for your paint colour packages?

Technology has come a long way in a short amount of time with the advent of the smart phone. And today’s smart phones take great quality photos. In fact, I can see more details looking at a good quality photo than I can with my own eyes…because I can keep going back to these photos when I’m determining the undertones of your fixed elements in your space. Honestly, online is the future of design and many designers only offer online services these days. Even if I were to come to your space to see it in person I would still be taking photos with my smart phone to takeaway with me and consult after the fact. So be rest assured the recommendations you get from my online design packages are just as amazing online as they would be in person.

How can photos be sufficient? Don’t you need to see my space in person in order to give me the correct advice?

The turnaround time from date of receiving a completed Questionnaire and photos of the space is 8 to 10 business days. You will receive my recommendations in a digital format, including detailed explanations for my advice tailored to your space, along with inspiring images, tips and expertise that will ensure you get the space you’ve always dreamed of.

 I will provide you with my top 3 paint colour recommendations for the room or open concept area. I will be very confident in these recommendations for your space but I’d still ask you to test them in the actual space at different times of day to pick the very best one. 


How many paint colour options will I receive with a paint colour package?

What if I want a refund for a package I purchased but have not used?

I understand that your circumstances can change. You might move or decide you don’t want to paint your space after all. Things happen. And I will refund your money less a 5% administrative fee so long as it’s been less than 90 days since you purchased the package. If it’s been longer than the 90 days a refund is no longer available.

Even the best designers in the world still need to test a paint colour to make sure it works in the space. Unfortunately the chance of getting a paint colour right without actual testing is difficult. Why? The light in the room changes throughout the day. I pick the best paint colours for your space keeping in mind the fixed elements like your flooring, your furniture, your area rug, your counter and so on. But I can’t see your space at all times of day in every light. So to get this right and before you spend the money on gallons of paint it is prudent to test the colours. And it doesn’t have to be a difficult process. You can order online the peel and stick paint colour samples from stores like Hello Paint. Or you can go to your local paint store and get small sample cans in the colours you want to test and paint them on pieces of poster board from the dollar store. Yes, it takes patience and a bit of effort, but the overall result is well worth it!

Why do I still need to test the colours you recommend if I have purchased your expert advice?

I want you to be 100% satisfied with your design package and so I offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with my recommendations. I’m pretty confident you’ll be happy with my advice but it you aren’t then I first need you to send me photos of your test samples in the space before I can offer a refund and an opportunity to provide you with my feedback. If you’re still not happy then I will honour your refund request. This is not the refund policy that applies to an unused purchase of a design package. For that situation please keep reading.
